ralston saul and end of globalism

John Ralston Saul on the Collapse of Globalism

For those interested in the effect that the economic ideology of globalism can have on local communities and young people, you may be interested in a recent lecture given by Canadian philosopher, John Ralston Saul, as part of the Ideas Festival. Saul, an essayist and novelist, is an internationally respected commentator on politics, globalism and democracy. A critic of the Davos World Economic Forum, his recent provocative work argues that globalism, with all its failures, and despite its achievements, is dead. The Ideas Lecture was a rare opportunity to hear his ideas about the past and for our future.

You can listen to the 90 minutes lecture online at
