AN ECONOMIST
AN ENVIRONMENTALIST.

REQUIREMENTS and APPLICATION:
ONE ECONOMIST AND ONE ENVIRONMENTALIST ALL WITH PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND HAVE SERVED AT LEAST ANY RECOGNIZED INSTITUTION FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS.

1. INTEREST IN ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION, LOVE FOR NATURE AND THE ABILITY TO IMPLEMENT ECOSYSTEM BASED APPROACH AND ENVIRONMENTAL ECOMOMICS AND MANAGEMENT.
2. ABILITY TO WORK WITH LOCAL POPULATIONS IN RURAL CAMEROON, COCOA AND COFFEE PRODUCERS.
3. AGED 18 YEARS AND ABOVE AND OF ALL NATIONALITY AND RELIGION.
4. EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE TROPICAL RAINFORESTS (Rainfed and Hot Sunny Weather).
5. HIGH PROFFICIENCY OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND ANY OTHER, (FRENCH PREFERABLY, though Dialects will be accepted ).
6. WILLING TO WORK ABOVE 9HRS DAILY MONDAYS TO SATURDAYS.
7. COMPUTER SKILLS HIGHLY DEMANDED (web design an added advantage)
8. SALARIES NEGOTIABLE
9. WORK WILL LAST FOR 2YEARS RENEWABLE, 2007/2009 ; 2010/2012.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Promote the protection of the Cameroon rainforest from illigal occupation and mis-use of its rich biodiversity which are rapidly disappearing, promote conservation of reserved sites and improve options to eco-tourism, promote the Multi-Lateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) and the Cameroon Forestry Law, increase the capacities of communities and the civil society groups in environmental governance, environmental marketing , poverty alleviation and options to youth unemployment in Cameroon.

MUST be willing to travel at the National level to cover project objectives.

Water and Youth First International Meeting:

Between April 12th - 14th 2007, 400 young people from more than 50 countries around the world will unite their voices in the 1 st International Meeting on 'Water and Youth' in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The objective of the Meeting is to increase commitment and to initiate action that will contribute to water sustainability on our planet.

There are several ways for you to get involved , as a convoking Organization, a speaker, a participant, and/or a panelist.
